Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 視覺傳達設計學系碩士班 === 105 === Besides Shan-shui and figure paintings, Chinese painting of flowers and birds is also a major bulk in Chinese painting categories. The history of Chinese painting of flowers and birds is quite long. Like the other categories of Chinese painting, flower and bird paintings are not only sketches, but also the appreciation and fancy to the nature for human beings. By reviewing the literature, this research discusses the origin and the development of Chinese painting of flowers and birds, and then discusses the evolution of its nature and the change of styles. Thus, by analyzing the definitions and functions of illustration, this research explores the meaning and the value of biological illustration. By knowing the artists and their biological illustration works, this research seeks to investigate the artists’ concepts of ecological conservation. Hope the experience of art history could be absorbed and the combination of both Chinese and western characteristics could be applied to create the Chinese flowers-and-birds-painting-style biological illustration in order to represent the beauty of the endemic birds of Taiwan. This series of creation is also to re-illustrate unprecedented style of Chinese painting of flowers and birds using a new way--biological illustration to present the researcher’s personal thinking for birds. Hope this series of creation could attract the audiences’ consonance and, by viewing the creations, could raise the overall knowledge of the endemic birds in Taiwan and could therefore arouse the attention to the idea of ecological conservation.
