Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士班 === 105 === This aim of the study is to investigate the relationships among sexism, sex role stereotypes and rape myth acceptance. We used online anonymous self-reported questionnaires to collect data. Participants involved people who are aged over 18 and living in Taiwan, a total of 611 valid samples were collected. The questionnaire included sexism scale, sex role stereotype scale, male rape myth scale, female rape myth scale, and Chinese rape myth scale. The results show that (1) Sex role stereotype, sexism (for male and female) and rape myths (male rape myths, female rape myths, and Chinese rape myths) are positively correlated, and sexism (for male and female) is a mediator of sex role stereotypes and rape myths; (2) Male participants show stronger sex role stereotypes, sexism, and rape myths than female participants. Finally, we discuss the theoretical implications, practical applications, and limitations of this study.
