The questionnaire included sexism scale, sex role stereotype scale, male rape myth scale, female rape myth scale, and Chinese rape myth scale. The results show that (1) Sex role stereotype, sexism (for male and female) and rape myths (male rape myths, female rape myths, and Chinese rape myths) are positively correlated, and sexism (for male and female) is a mediator of sex role stereotypes and rape myths; (2) Male participants show stronger sex role stereotypes, sexism, and rape myths than female participants. Finally, we discuss the theoretical implications, practical applications, and limitations of this study.
