Many researches have shown that the performance of attention can be affected by music. In addition, background music has been widely accepted and used in many field. Therefore,this research aims to play different rhythm music to 59 people with intellectual disability,testing their attention performance by standardized assessment tools,expecting used in sheltered workshop.
The results shows up the facts:there is no different on the speed of answer,on the other words background music can’t increase the speed of action. However,different rhythm music can reduce the error rate of attention test,especially slow pace of music.
It is recommended that future studies take into account the time of music intervention and the length of intervention.
