Enterprises kept investing in new construction in 2015, with completion of hotels, which caused oversupply of hotel industry in Taiwan; moreover, Taiwan new government's vague attitude towards Taiwan and China relationship has resulted in a one-third reduction in China’s tourist which has worsened the competition continuously. In the past, the hotel major competition focused on the areas of guest room design, service quality, hotel rate, decoration, room number, and hotel facilities,.etc. However, in a high-informational society, these competitive elements become less important factors. Instead, the critical features to win the market become the degree of smart hotel and informatization. How to implement the new cloud computing technology to find out the differences between the hotels is the future competitiveness of the hotel industry. The cloud technology mention in this study requires large scale of labor and equipment investment, therefore, the target of this study is focusing on tourism hotel industry. Due to time and resource constrain, this study will be implemented by qualitative method including expert interview and secondary data analysis method in contrast of large scale surveys. This study provides suggestions on the areas and effectiveness of cloud technology implementation for smart hotels. The result of this study could be used to have a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and information management; besides providing information for domestic hotels to assist strategic planning and business management, the result could be used as foundation for the future studies which could help similar study or planning in this area to continue and complete.
