The “Young Old” of aged 55-64 and “Early Elderly” of aged 65-74 are known as baby boomers. Most of people in this generation own wealth, have well education and good health, and are eager in pursuing well-being and happiness. This research defines current population of aged 65-74 in Taiwan as “Joyful Aging”. By using needs satisfaction approach, this research measures the well-being condition of “Joyful Aging” in Taiwan. The research also classifies people who are happy by what kind of people they are or the way they behave or act in life. In order to find out means to improve well-being of “Joyful Aging”`, this research examines the association between the performance of well-being and five well-being improvement activities of “Connect”, ”Take Notice”, “Keep Learning”, “Be Active” and “Give”. As a result, this research indicates that “Joyful Aging” with different demographic background has different performance on well-being, well-being improvement activities of “Take Notice and Keep Learning”, “Be Active” and “Give” pose distinctive differences from partial demographic statistics, and performance on well-being and well-being improvement activities influence each other.
