The research method was the questionnaire, targeted staffs from 22 community child care provider scheme and adopted a personally made questionnaire-"The relationship of proctors’ role perception and role performance," as the survey tool, 157 questionnaires were issued, and 149 valid questionnaires were obtained. The retrieving probability was 94.90%. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlations. The main findings of this study are as follows: 1.Staffs from community child care provider scheme tend to "important" in the five dimensions of role perception, the highest level of "counseling assistance for family child care providers and services ", "innovative project" for the lowest; The role of performance tend to "competent", "administration" for the highest, "innovative project" for the lowest, and the five degrees of awareness are significantly higher than the degree of practice. 2.The background variables of "higest study experience" showed significant difference on the role perception in "education counselling" and "innovative project" for the staffs from community child care provider scheme. 3.There are four significant differences with the role performance for the staffs from community child care provider scheme. The fisrt one is staff with different "age" and "title" in "administration" and "social support". The second one is staff with the different "higest study experience" in "innovative project". The third one is staff with different "seniority" in "counselling assistance for family child care providers and services" and "innovative project". The last one is about different "working hours" in "education counselling". 4.There are significant positive correlations in the five dimensions of role perception and role performance for staffs from community child care provider scheme .
