As a result, Taiwan was under airstrike from Allies after the Pacific War broke out. Although the “Island Hopping” strategy keeps Taiwan from serious attack directly, it still can’t avoid bombing by Allies. On May 31th, 1945, Taipei Air Raid cause serious damage in Taipei city. This incident deeply impacts the cityscape of Taipei today. This major incident has not been received proper attention as to this date. This paper is accomplished by using the method of literature review and interview. It starts from exploring the definition of military ruins and monuments, investigating the conservation of military ruins and military museums both at home and abroad. It gathers information of historical data to understand the Taipei Air Raid. Moreover, the paper interviewed related scholars and the elders who is experienced this incident, and as a result the paper proposes a tentative exhibit planning on the topic of Taipei Air Raid. The memory of the incidences regarding Taipei Air Raid was almost lost in time. Related exhibitions of Taipei Air Raid occasionally held by the private sector in partial scale. The Incident itself could be not only a great story that makes up a potentially valuable exhibition, but also enhancing identity amongst citizens of Taipei.
