Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 社會學系碩士班 === 105 === “Studentification” was defined by Darren Smith (2002) as an effect on the process of more college students that move into the college community. The migrant students influence the community in economic, social, culture, and physical dimensions. Using 8 indexes from 4 dimensions of studentification, new colleges bring different developmental models. The findings are (1) “the growth of local development concentrate on the urban areas, but rural areas do not have obvious growth.” and (2) “the contents of local development emphasis on the hardware construction, such as physical dimension, but the software dimensions (economic, social, culture effects) of local development are not obvious.” Finally, the phenomenon of studentification in Taiwan is different for the case of the U.K. because studentification is regarded as an invasion of community in U.K., but that is used as a main for local development in Taiwan.
