Summary:碩士 === 佛光大學 === 佛教學系 === 105 === This paper focused on analyzes the topic of the sculpture historical evolution of the Huang Tu-Shui’s 'Sakya'muni Image (Bronze). This research direction is divided into three major parts — the history of the acetic practice image from India to China, the scholars' imagination and description of the Buddhism in the Song dynasty,and how Huang Tu-Shui interprets Buddhist art during the period of Japanese occupation in Taiwan. The first part of the study method accompanied the comparison of the ascetic practice in the sutra and the ascetic practice image,in order to understand the historical cultures and regional characteristics behind. With the spread of Buddhism from India to China,the image which implied from the different regional has shown the different cultural characteristics . The second part focus on the analysis of aesthetic culture mentalities of the scholar in the Song Dynasty. Sort out the Chan Buddhism’s imaginations and how to think about Chan School matters.Subsequently,a discussion based on literature from a representative in Southern Song Dynasty,Liang Kai,and the forming background of the 'Sakya'muni Image . The third part discusses Huang Tu-Shui’s creation position,not only hold the artistic skills,but also expresses on the Sakya Image on the thinking of positioning the Buddhism in Japan . At the same time discussed the relationship between the Taiwan Buddhism during the period of Japanese occupation and the Longshan Temple,and how did the gentry in Taiwan face the historical implications and changes brought by the Japanese Buddhism . A valuable religious artwork,the essence of the sanctity could be interpreted by people of different generations,to think about the situation of mankind,not only oneself but about the sympathy and understanding of suffering .
