The study adopted qualitative, in-depth interview and participant observation as research methods. The researchers carried out in-depth interviews with the subjects of the study, and analyzed and discussed the results to reach conclusions on and come up with suggestions and recommendations for the four visions—local culture, resource sharing, lifelong learning, and social engagement—of the active aging learning program implemented by Dongshan Township, Yilan. Through design and execution of the study, as well as analysis and discussion of the findings, the researchers have proposed the seven conclusions below: 1. Motive of Dongshan Township’s Implementation of Active Aging Learning Program: Consensus for implementing an active aging learning program was already forged in the community with the senior association and active aging reading clubs. Dongshan Township Office has proactively invested much effort to carefully formulate active aging learning policy 2. Factors of Dongshan Township’s Implementation of Active Aging Learning Program: The township office has set up an active aging learning resource center,which will cooperate with the community, the senior association, temples, and community groups and rganizations to promote active aging learning in aim to enhance senior citizens’ level of social engagement. 3. With insufficient manpower and budget, Dongshan Township Office must rely on governments of higher levels for assistance and guidance. Currently, the township office continues to proactively promote active aging learning. 4. The classes of Dongshan Township’s active aging learning program are diverse and creative. The township office, the community, and the senior association are all contributing to and promoting the program. In terms of curriculum design, the main objectives are healthy and happy life and social participation with dignity for senior citizens. 5. Dongshan Township has rich local culture, natural landscape, and community resources. The township office and the community can utilize these resources to plan active aging learning, in order to achieve the goals of healthy and happy life for senior citizens, independence and dignity, lifelong learning, and social engagement. 6. In terms of implementation of active aging learning, Dongshan Township Office is facing various challenges, such as insufficient manpower and budget, and lack of creativity in curriculum design. The township office will nonetheless work hard to overcome the aforementioned barriers in order to achieve the four visions of active aging learning. 7.
