I focus on the construction of Mei Nong traditional Hakka space plan. In addition, I also conclude the types of plan forms and apply shape grammars to analyze the rules. This way, I can know the relevance between the plan composition and the space deduction. Besides, the use of images explains the design and reconstruction of the space plan. The specific process is divided into three stages. First, collecting relevant documents of the traditional Hakka buildings and setting study subjects and area. Subsequently, conduct the surveys, interviews and organize the drawing. There are twenty-four buildings as research objects. Next, categorize and analyze the similarities, differences and characteristics of the samples. Furthermore, we can find out the constituent elements of the buildings. Finally, use the concept of design operations to classify those elements into shape grammar rules. Then, summarize the results of the study into a tree diagram. This study is based on the theory of morphology and typology and combine, with shape grammar rules. Through the theories and rules, we can interpret the spatial composition of Hakka traditional courtyard in Mei Nong area. By classifying the commonalities and dissimilarities of the cases, we can take the original complex construction apart. Afterward, dismantle the elements from large ones to small ones. I turn the constructive elements into design operations by adopting shape grammar rules Then using a tree diagram to analyze the results of the spatial composition of study objects. I make the space plan from scratch and turn it from simple one into systematic one. In consequence, the construction flow chart clearly shows the similarities and differences of the spatial composition. It confirms that the shape grammar is feasible to apply to design operations of the traditional Hakka courtyard. 宋玉真 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 158 en_US
