The machine vision in the system processes the received image and is combined with a laser guidance control system. The MATLAB image processing is used together with Arduino control to complete this study. This study employed machine vision technology and multiple image processes. The camera was combined with software for development and integrated with dynamic tracking and image segmentation to find out the ROI. Afterwards, the laser guidance control system of the self-made stepping motor was used, and the motor adjusted the angle of mirror, so as to control the boresight direction of the laser. The feature value of a cabbage caterpillar is obtained by texture analysis of the gray-level co-occurrence matrix from the image captured. Sobel operator edge processing and color segmentation are used to separate and locate the target area.
