碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 金融碩士在職專班 === 105 === This study compares the differences of the average return and volatility and tests the market risk changes of Yangming Shipping and Evergreen Marine before and after the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping. The results of this study found that, before and after the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping, there were no significant changes with the average returns of daily stock returns of Yangming Shipping and Evergreen Marine. Also for the volatility of the daily stock return of Evergreen Marine. But the volatility of stock return of Yangming Shipping dropped significantly after the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping. After the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping, the stock market risk of Yangming Shipping did not change, but the stock market risk of Evergreen Marine dropped significantly.
