When network devices communicate with many other devices, it also need various techniques and devices for storing large amounts of data. In this study, the concept of internet of things and wireless network components are combined into an embedded system to perform remote control. When the system is in operation, a smartphone software can remote monitor the status of solar panels of the intelligent light source tracking system. The sensor value of four light sensors can be sent back to the programmable logic controller (PLC) with the wireless transceiver module. By using the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) operation, the location of light source can be obtained and display on the software screen accurately. At the same time an embedded system can connect to cloud services or smart devices to complete various web applications, including data logging and remote monitoring.
