Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 會計學系 === 105 === This study examines the association between carbon emission disclosure and the financial performance in Taiwan. In Addition, this study also explored the relationship between the carbon emission disclosure and the value-relevance. The sample comprises of Taiwan listed companies which have disclosured carbon emissions information from 2014 to 2015. Using the OLS regression model tests our research hypotheses. We found that the companies have exposed the carbon emission information are negatively associated with financial performance, it means the managers may voluntarily expose carbon emissions for diverting stakeholders’ attention. We also found that the companies have exposed the carbon emission information are positively associated with the share price, it means companies exposed the carbon emission information can enhance the enterprise evaluation of the investors.
