At First, using techniques of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to construct the foam extinguishing models for the fire laboratory in Da-Yeh University. Secondly, the constructed models are applied by SketchUp to export related animation vedio for equipment inspection. The teaching material based on “Standard for Inspection and Application of Fire Safety Equipments Based on Use and Occupancy” is further developed. Finally, the teaching material is utilized for trial education by the teacher and students from the department of fire and Safety in Da-Yeh University to evaluate the learning efficiency. The development and content of teaching material are determined or adjusted by the result of aforementioned trial education. As the reserch results, a standard development procedure of multimedia reality material based on BIM is established with various operations such as reality modeling, information modeling, script design, animation export, material development, and education improvement. The results in this study can be referred for other engineering fields to improve training efficiency and to reduce damage by accident.
