碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 105 === This study reveals that the comparison of Feng Tay Group and Pou Chen Group, the leading footwear manufacturers in Taiwan, is related to their operational performances from 2009 Q4 to 2016 Q3. With Wilcoxon rank-sum nonparametric test, the analysis consists of comparisons of nine key financial ratios which pertain to the three dimensions in terms of profitability, solvency, and operating performance. In the aspects of operating income, net profit after tax, receivables turnover ratio, and inventory turnover, Feng Tay Group is superior to Pou Chen Group. However, Pou Chen Group demonstrates better performance on gross profit margin , current ratio , quick ratio , and debt ratio. Consequently, Feng Tay Group is superior in profitability and operating performance to Pou Chen Group while Pou Chen Group provides greater solvency. Pou Chen Group achieves growth in production quantity, revenue, and operating profit margin in recent years. Although Feng Tay Group is on a far smaller scale than Pou Chen Group, the revenue of Feng Tay Group reaches record level in 2015. Pou Chen Group, the largest footwear manufacturer in the world, and Feng Tay Group, such a distinguished manufacturer in footwear industry, attempt to grow steadily with their strengths-based development.
