| Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 運動健康管理學系 === 106 === This study is to explore whether there is any influence between attitude and behavior of eyesight health care, and whether the students eyesight affects the health behavior and attitude, and whether the family background affect the development of vision health care of the primary school from the first grade to the sixth grade children in vulnerable communities. A questionnaire survey including "family life style", "visual health behavior", "vision care attitude" was conducted on children of economically disadvantaged families counseled by social welfare agencies and naked eye visions of schoolchildren are examined and recorded.
The results of the study show that the statistics of the poor eyesight rate of the disadvantaged students is 65.3%, higher than the overall rate by 17.63%. The meal picky behavior is more obvious in children who live with their mothers in economically disadvantaged families, while those who live with their fathers in economically disadvantaged families are less obvious. In addition, the meal picky behavior affects both the health and eyesight development.
In single-parent families, if children are spoiled or laissez-faire, it is not easy to rectify the deviant behavior of children. At this time, school and social educations are necessary. For economically disadvantaged families of schoolchildren, the government and civil society organizations should provide more warm-hearted care and counseling for health education on vision health care behaviors, more understandable vision health advocacy as well as guide school children the right concept of vision care. In such way, the right vision health attitude can be brought up.
The study shows: (i) Students in economically disadvantaged families may experience deviant vision-care attitudes or behavior due to family residency and school-age (lower grade) factors. Hence, school children with poor eyesight are in economically disadvantaged families in general. (ii) Vision care attitude will positively affect the vision care behavior. (iii) Vision care behavior will positively affect the quality of vision. students could cultivate the right attitude on visual health.
