Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 運動健康管理學系 === 105 === At present, Taiwan has become an aging society. Engaging in regular exercise can improve physical health and reduce the risk of suffering from disease. Enabling senior citizens to achieve healthy and successful aging is a current issue attracting great attention. In order to understand the physical activity behavioral intention of senior citizens, this study enrolled senior citizens over the age of 55 as the subjects, and investigated the relationship among three dimensions, perceived environment, physical activity attitude, and physical activity behavioral intention. This study conducted a questionnaire survey, with 372 valid questionnaires returned. The data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM).
The research results showed that: (1) perceived environment has a positive effect on physical activity attitude; (2) physical activity attitude has a positive effect on physical activity behavioral intention; (3) perceived environment has a positive effect on physical activity behavioral intention. Based on the research results above, community or health promotion-related units are advised to develop well-designed physical activity environment and provide high-quality activity environment with good law and order, safety & comfort, attractive landscape, convenient facilities, and good health and air quality to enhance physical activity attitude of the senior citizens and further achieve the objective of improving physical activity behavioral intention.
