Summary:碩士 === 大漢技術學院 === 土木工程與環境資源管理研究所 === 105 === This thesis calculated Air Quality Index (AQI) values based on the data monitored at Hualien air monitoring station from 2013 to 2016. This thesis also analyzed the trend of air quality in Hualien Area according to sources of air currents simulated with backward trajectory models. The results of the thesis show that the average AQI value of Hualien Area from 2013 to 2016 is 47. AQI values that were 30 or less shared 17% of total monitoring days. AQI values which were between 30 and 50 (30<AQI≤50), 50 and 75 (50<AQI≤75), 75 and 100 (50<AQI≤100) were responsible for 51%, 22%, 7% of total monitoring days respectively. AQI values that were more than 100 accounted for 3% of all. In addition, Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5) as the major pollutant was responsible for 60% monitoring days. Eight-hour value of Ozone and PM2.5 as the major pollutant was responsible for 46% and 33% respectively when AQI values were 50 or less but higher than 30 (30<AQI≤50). Eight-hour value of Ozone and PM2.5 as the major pollutant accounted for 6% and 94% respectively when AQI values were 75 or less but higher than 50 (50<AQI≤75). Eight-hour value of Ozone and PM2.5 as the major pollutant was responsible for 20% and 80% respectively when AQI values were 75 or less but higher than 50 (50<AQI≤75). When AQI values were more than 100, eight-hour value of Ozone and PM2.5 as the major pollutant accounted for 15% and 85% respectively. On the basis of the analysis of different air currents, the results also reveal that the proportion of air currents from Mainland China which accounts for air pollution in Hualien Area increases as AQI values gain. The air pollution in Hualien Area is closely connected with transboundary pollutants from other regions, and PM2.5 is the major pollutant in Hualien Area when transboundary air pollution impacts.
