Among all the tangible medium, books have the ability to hold large information and variation. Some people give value to books by using books to create a work of art. Self-explorations are popular recently. Only a minority of Taiwanese study in personality psychology because personality psychology has the high threshold of learning. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire. Based on the theory that proposed by Carl Jung in 1921, MBTI helps people to find their personalities and individual possibilities. MBTI even can promote social relations. The researcher''s theme combines book design and personality psychology. The researcher is based on Carl Jung''s theory and MBTI''s sixteen personalities. The author creates sixteen different books to represent MBTI''s sixteen personalities and let people realize themselves by observing these personality books. The author marshals definitions of book design by literature review and analyzes the relation between content and design of books. Sixteen personality books have different binding to show features about sixteen personalities. Books have regular elements, but materials or appearances of books are unlimited. Book designer must consider the whole design of books and select materials, printing processes and binding of books. A good designer should think as a director to naturally communicate the design concept by books themselves. The author finds a new possibility instead of keeping the tradition.
