Modern people are very concerned about sport after their rush life and take more care over their dietary. Homemakers used to go shopping for daily necessities in the market every morning but now instead, they go to wholesale stores, supermarkets or traditional markets to do their necessary shopping once for all in days off. Because of the way of dietary and purchase are changing with most of families being double income. The former housewives buy to cook in one day and the latter one make their cooking for many days. These ways of dealing with foods not just affect the retaining of freshness of foods but also the texture and appearance of foods. Some invisible microorganisms, germs and bacteria would have bred within days on foods.  Negative air ion is regarded as the closely link with all actions of life for the past few years and the concentration of air ions can be directly related to the air pollution of environment. The anion can produce the positive benefits to health has been proved by scientific documents.  This study mainly investigated about the application of anion generator on preservation of foods and to know whether anion can inhibit the growth of mould and suspend the putrefaction of food. Moreover it was to observe if the anion generator could cause the effect to the period of preserving food. There were two sets of same foods with vegetables and fruits inside the storage boxes placed in the indoor environment with well ventilation but no light. One box with the anion generator inside tightly sealed up and electrified for twenty-four hours in operation and the other one was just closely sealed up to the contrary. The photos of these two boxes in observation were taken in the same time every day. As time passed by, these two boxes were inspected to know if anions permanent stayed to restrain the mould growing and the decay of foods and checked the differences of appearance of vegetables and fruits in control experiment from the first day as well.  This study researched how to control the indoor air with anion generator could keep the food freshness. The result was that anion generator not just inhibits the growth of mould but also suspended the decay of food. The negative ion has the function of oxidant resistance to biological system for keeping healthy. It increases the superoxide dismutase (SOD), a kind of antioxidant to contain the reactive oxygen species and to prevent form oxygenation. Anions can entirely operates to detoxification and oxygenation and sufficiently enhance the capability of organization cells. It can strengthen the oxygen consumption and promote the bodily metabolism which efficiently makes anti-aging.  The action of anions can absorb various viruses and bacteria to change its structure or to transfer its energy into dying which inhibits the breeding of germs and molds. The cations neutralized by anions can clear the air and make it fresh and pure. With the purification of anions that protects metals preventing rusting and prolong the period of preserving foods.  There are foods of fruits, vegetables and starch in this experiment group and control group in the period of observing and recording for seven to fifteen days. According to the condition of mildewing and spoiling of foods that decides how long the record taken.
