The study adopted the questionnaire survey method, using “Career Commitment and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire of Junior High School teachers in Taichung City” as the instrument. The research subjects were teachers serving in Taichung municipal junior high schools in 2016 academic year. 475 valid questionnaires were gathered and the data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples t test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The major findings of the study were summarized into the conclusions below: 1. The career commitment of junior high school teachers in Taichung City was slightly above medium level, with the highest score in “career involvement” among the four aspects of career commitment. 2. The job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in Taichung City was slightly above medium level, with the highest score in “teachers’ interpersonal relationships” among the four aspects of job satisfaction. 3. Junior high schools teachers with different age, educational background, seniority, and scale of school had significant differences in career commitment. 4. Junior high schools teachers with different age, position in school, and scale of school had significant differences in job satisfaction. 5. There was a significant positive correlation between career commitment and job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in Taichung City. The suggestions based on the findings of the study were provided for reference to the administrative authorities of education, schools, teachers, and future researchers.
