碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 文教事業經營研究所 === 105 === The main purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between family function and hope of junior high school students in Taichung City. The study adopted questionnaire survey. The instruments applied to this study include “Personal Background Inventory”, “Family Function Scale” and “Hope Scale”. The 618 subjects by purposive sampling method were chosen from 8 junior high schools in Taichung City. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The study concluded that： 1、Family function perceived by junior high school students in Taichung City reached the level of upper-intermediate. 2、Hope of junior high school students in Taichung City reached the level of upper-intermediate. 3、Family function perceived by junior high school students in Taichung City differed significantly according to grades, family structure and parental educational level. 4、Hope of junior high school students in Taichung City differed significantly according to family structure and parental educational level. 5、There was a positive correlation between perceived family function and hope of junior high school students in Taichung City. 6、Among all aspects of perceived family function, "overall family function" is the best predicator to hope of junior high school students in Taichung City. Finally, the conclusion and suggestions were provided for the reference to junior high school teachers, parents, administrations of education and future researchers.
