Survey method was adopted to collect data by two questionnaires developed by researcher. The target samples were 499 teachers of preschools affiliated at the public elementary schools in Taichung City. The response rate was 89% in total, and the data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variances (ANOVA), and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The main findings were as following: 1.The perceptions of Parent-Teacher Communication for Preschool Teachers reach high-intermediate level. The highest is Communication Strategies, followed by Communication Content, Communication conflicts, and then Communication Channel. 2.The performances of teaching effectiveness for Preschool Teachers reach high-intermediate level. The highest is teaching strategy, followed by Classroom Management, Teaching Involvement, and thenTeaching Resources. 3.Significant differences are found among the Parent-Teacher Communication for Preschool Teachers by different background variables of age、Service year. 4.Significant differences are found among the teaching effectiveness for Preschool Teachers by different personal background variables of age, Service year, highest education and positions. 5.There are positive correlations between Parent-Teacher Communication and teaching effectiveness for the Preschool Teachers in Taichung City.
