The Government has established various policies in response to the coming of the elderly society, including "Ten Years of Long-term Care Plan", “Long-term Service Network” and “Long-term Service Law” as well as developing 10 years of long-term care plans second edition in 2015 and so forth. The Government's services to the care of the elderly are various. Among them, day care is one of them. There are also many forms of day care. Community care center is combined with government’s fiancé and community group, letting the elderly to walk out their house and participate all kinds of activities. In addition to providing health promotion activities, there are also activities such as eating and talking with other elderly people. Also the center provides care visit for the elderly, telephone inquiries, counsetation and referral services. Community care mode has been carried out for many years. The Government has been planned to establish an universal network of care services and community health care that can help each other, but in reality is this goal really reached? Currently to what extent does the elderly value the services? That is the main motivation of the study. According to the statistics, Nantou county is one of the most aging population of all, ranking third of whole country. Take three of central county for example, Nantou County has the most inadequate medical resources and therefore has more urgent over medical service and follow-up service. Therefore, this study takes the elderly of five community care centers in the town of Tsaotun Township, Nantou County as the objects of the investigation , and analyzes the order of importance of the service provided by the elderly who are currently receiving services. A total of 264 questionnaires were distributed and 255 questionnaires were collected. The effective questionnaires were 237 and the return rate is 89%. The data were analyzed by SPSS19.0 Software and underwent descriptive statistics, independent sample T test and one-way analysis of variance to present the results. The results of the study found that the services which the elderly value most were: (1) Environment and space of Community care unit fit the need of activity (2) Community resources and services and put local aging in to effect (3) Staff attitude over services (4) Opening time of community care unit (5) Community care location should be arrived within 15 minutes oftraffic time Since the carry out of caring welfare for the elderly, most units provide services that focus on the hardware and health promotion activities. However, the true health represents physical, psychological and social well-being of health. The true needs of the elderly, in addition to the existing services, should be in the spiritual level of care and then strengthen the interaction with other person, satisfying the psychological need of being respect and the social need of interaction. Altogether these effort will encourage the elderly to walk into community, reaching true aging locally and healthfully.
