碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 護理系碩士班 === 105 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of the Smartphone using and happiness of community elderly, the relationship between them, and other related factors that influence the relationship, so as to further find out the predictors of the Smartphone using and happiness of community elderly. A cross-sectional study was conducted. The sample consisted of 399 elderly aged over 65 residing in Kaohsiung city. A Structured questionnaire, including demographic background information, the smartphone-use behavior and happiness scale, was used to collect data. The SPSS 18.0 was utilized to analysis the results are summarized as the average age of community elderly is 69.24 years old, 54.6% male, 66.1% educated in high school or above and 71.2% elderly participate in community activities. The elderly consider that they have good economic status and healthy, frequently contact family and friends. Half of smartphones are used about 2.5 years. There are significant differences with corresponding behaviors of smartphone-using that revealed positive correlation (r=.617，p<0.01). The dominate factor of predicting community elderly happiness: The use of smartphones, sex, those who participate in community activities and who live with their spouse and (grandchild) children, the total amount of interpretation up to 41.4%. The results mentioned above provide the government a view of「wisdom of age」to strengthen teaching the use of smartphones to link health information for the community elderly via elderly college or evergreen institutions , but also form an alliance with hospitals that could provide simple health education awareness through the line group, so the elderly can keep up with popular technology, researchers can create more happiness for the elderly by strict security and health check of the government.
