The first one is to explore ten-minutes reading activity in the morning on the seventh grade students’ Chinese academic achieve-ments in the junior high school. The second one is to explore whether the ten-minutes read-ing activity in the morning would affect the seventh graders’ reading attitude. To achieve the goals, the study was designed as a pre-experimental research. The re-searched was based on the before and after design of the same group. The subjects were 28 students in a junior high school in Miaoli, and the experiment lasted for 15 weeks. The ac-tivity had been processed from 7:40 to 7:50 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Before starting the activity, the subjects accept the questionnaires to judge these students’ reading attitude. Besides, the students took the first exam in Chinese for the scores of the pre-test. According to the results of the tests, the researcher got the scores and used the data to analyze with Paired-Samples T Test for observing the differences on academic achievement and reading attitude before and after the activity. The subjects also had to turn in the feedback sheets for the files about the personal reading record. In addition to analyzing the data, the subjects also got the interview for the researcher to judge the influence and changes to the seventh graders in Chinese learning from the activity. The results indicated as follows: 1.Ten-minutes reading activity in the morning positively improved the seventh graders’ academic achievement. 2.Ten-minutes reading activity in the morning positively affected the seventh graders’ read-ing attitude.
