However, the existence of the detention camps in Guantanamo Bay has circumvented the importance of human rights for the purpose of achieving national security, In addition to violating the United States for human rights compliance, but also stepped into the National security and Human rights protection of the sideline, By understanding the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, in the event of a similar issue in the war on terror, there will be an example of being a mirror and able to deal with the issue in better way. This study is mainly divided into two directions, one is from the Human rights protection to explore the issue of detention camps, and the other is from the National security angle to see the need of detention camps; first from the Human rights protection to discuss issues such as the application of law, excessive torture, forced feeding and medical information disclosure, And then to explore the value of the detention camp itself from the angle of national security, to discuss the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in the war on the status and necessity. In conclusion, this research present four finding, First, the need for a set of criteria for detention under the war on terror. Second, the difficulty of resolving hidden terrorist and human rights guarantees. Third, reducing the risk of known terrorist attacks. Fourth, the cost and limited on detention camp. As Guantanamo Bay detention camp an example, when face with detention of terrorist issues, Taiwan can further make appropriate disposal to reduce unnecessary sacrifice and difficult.
