Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學暨生物化學研究所 === 105 === In this thesis, we synthesized three compounds, EM-01, EM-02, and EM-03, which exhibit interesting aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties. The central π spacers were designed to restrict the rotation of the molecules to induce the AIE effect. The photophysical properties of EM-01, EM-02, and EM-03 in solution and in solid state were studied in detail. We observed that the ability to form aggregation and the AIE intensity for three compounds are different. In addition, EM-03 displayed dual fluorescent behavior in hexane. Single crystals of EM-01 were grown in a mixture of dichloromethane and hexane. Since the crystal structure can be considered as the aggregation form of a compound, the structure-property relationship could be deduced from comparing the crystal structure and photophyscial parameters. Furthermore, computational studies of EM-02 and EM-03 were carried out to elucidate the possible aggregation behavior to get an in-depth understanding of the AIE mechanism.
