Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 105 === In this thesis and fallowing experiments, two types of pentablock co-polymers SBSIS, namely, end-big and middle-big type were prepared by anionic polymerization of styrene, isoprene and 1,3-butadiene in nonpolar solvent. The preparations and living polymerizations were conducted by the addition of sec-butyllithium as initiator, followed with the addition of styrene, 1,3-butadiene and isoprene to synthesize dif-ferent styrene-lengths SBSIS copolymers, and finally quench with methanol to obtain the products. The composition, thermal and physical properties tests are characterized by GPC, DSC, TGA, 1H-NMR, FTIR, and DMA . These polymer samples have a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 60,000 g/mole with 30%, 60% and 85% three different styrenic proportion. The correlation between preparation method and characterization results allows us to: 1. Investigate the difference of physical properties for different styrenic content in these two types of SBSIS. 2. Discuss physical properties between end-big type vs. middle-big type. 3. Investigate how dissimilar monomers control the physical proper-ties of copolymers.
