Perhaps in the usual tea, or tea ceremony activities, teapot in a variety of tea activities have a specific shape significance. This study is based on the gold pot award winning teapot shape as a research object, to understand people for the shape of the teapot characteristics and preferences of the situation. This study aggregates the winning entries and investigates the degree of preference for the styling features of the teapot for investigation and inductive analysis."Taiwan International Gold Pot Award" uphold: nourish the quality of life, enhance the quality of life, to teapot design as the theme of competition activities, in order to combine the development of international tea culture to encourage international pottery creators and ceramic industry, dedicated to teapot art the design, creation, technology and production development and development. It is very suitable as an important indicator of the characteristics of the teapot. This study used questionnaires. And the "Golden Pot Award" winning works divided into four types of structure: 1. the main structure of the shape. 2. Materials application characteristics, 3. the application of modeling structure. 4. Impression of modeling. And then the characteristics of the teapot is divided into: 1. the mouth of the pot, 2. the pot body, 3. the lid, 4. the mention, 5. the firing texture, 6. composite media, 7. decorative, 8. the sense of shape, 9. The overall image, etc., and conduct research. According to the results of the study, In the gold pot award winning works, the shape of the teapot, the overall image, decorative, firing texture is more revered attention to the modeling characteristics. Teapot of the spout, pot body, pot lid, put the other is less attention to the modeling features. Subjects are less concerned about the shape of the main structure, pay more attention to the application of modeling structure and shape of the image composition. Among them, the man for the teapot shape preferences with a rough characteristic of the teapot. People who have tea habits like teapot type must have enough shape of the teapot and has a teapot shape of the decorative, modeling and the overall image and so on. Person who has studied tea crafts has a teapot and a characteristic teapot with the characteristics of the teapot, and the teapot uses a functional preference for a sense of smoothness and a sense of security. Contemporary pottery museum visitors pay more attention to the project is the overall image, the most attention is the characteristics of the spout. Arts and crafts of the respondents pay more attention to modeling characteristics of the spout, pot body, pot lid, mention and so on. The results of this study provide teapot creators and pottery industry reference and provide follow-up researchers.
