Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 機械工程學系 === 104 === The present work focuses on the finite element analyses of the toughening effects of cracked plates due to the insertion of fibers. The displacement extrapolation method and the J integral method are adopted to compute stress intensity factor K_I of the cracked plate. The plate has dimensions of 5 cm×10 cm×1 cm and containing an edge crack and is subject to a remote tension of 100 MPa on the top of the plate. The bottom of the plate is assumed to be fixed. Three effects are studied: fiber orientation, fiber aspect ratio, and fiber location. The quantitative estimates on the effect of adding a fiber to the cracked plate are presented.
