Thin film was prepared by using vinyl-triethoxysilane(VTES) as precursor. Different ratios of Polyethylene glycol (PEG) and specific ratio of 3-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS) were added into VTES solution for sol-gel reaction. We used FTIR, UV-Vis, SEM, contact angle analysis system, pencil hardness test, and electrochemical analyzer to evaluate the properties of optical flims. In the electrochemical analysis, we coated the flim on the copper substrate. The result shows that when the ratio of MPTMS is 10 mol%, the property of corrosion-resistant is the best. MPTES/HEMA/MPTMS of coated copper substrate of impedance value increased to 782,000 ohm.
