The participants were 108 sixth-grade’s students from Taoyuan city Hses Elementary School. 54 students were assigned to the experimental group instructed by approaches with games, and 54 students as the control group were instructed by the traditional lecture method. This study was carried out for 3 weeks. Both the experimental group and the control group were asked to fill in the Chinese Learning Motivation Questionnaire and to take the Chinese Test. The results of their pre-test and the post-test were analyzed quantitatively. Besides, the experimental group’s feedbacks and experimental teacher’s interviews were analyzed qualitatively. Following are the findings of this study: 1.Chinese Achievement:experimental group’s Chinese learning achievement is better than the control group. 2.Chinese Learning Motivation:The experimental group’s post-test scores is significantly higher than the pre-test scores in Sense of the intrinsic value and Self-efficacy . 3.Most students in experimental group support positive and affirmative attitudes toward infusing games into Chinese teaching and learning.
