碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 設計學研究所 === 104 === According to Taiwan Interior Ministry statistics, Taiwan birth rate in 2014 had only 1.17% which was the last on Earth. As the times change, the phenomenon of low birth rate among the general international situation is universalizing, and children have gradually become the core of the family. According to the 2012 "adolescence" periodical survey of high school or above between 18-29 years of age groups, it found strong concern at helicopter parents seem to cause children to have inappropriate disturbance and meddlesome situation; child developmental psychologists also believe that overprotection for the child do more harm than good. To establish a good parent-child relationship, effective communication has always been eager to modern parents. In this study, through literature induction and consolidation, we understand parents who overprotect their children, which results in parents’ exceeding arrangements and restrictions with children’s school days, socializing and all aspects of daily life. And through focus groups and participant observation methods, we find excessive expectations virtually put pressure on children and cause emotional impact between parents and their children. Parents have to let the children learn how to deal with everything in life, to help children modestly, to know how to cultivate values from an early age and the kids' sense of independence, to learn a variety of skills and abilities, and to communicate more with their children to listen to their demands, in order to become each other's closest supporter. Researchers at picture books use comical methods on visual to depict story, and manifest the issues of overprotection, deal with things with sense of comic, solve family problems and make things more smoothly. Through literature and focus group method, this study inducts the most common problem of communication between parents and children as the main theme of the study picture book.
