City’s transportation expands fast, struction stood closely and cover the original green land which resulting in the greenery view of Taiwan specific villages disappear little by little. Humankind alienates from nature day by day. People stay in squeeze busy city for long. Definitely living environment and quality of live are affected. Even the food safety problems happened recently which led people lost trust on food on market. Therefore, when 21century was coming, global rose the awareness of the environment protection and advocate the concept of LOHAS. Many city people begin having the life idea of returning to nature, then residents start planting flowers and tree to green environment, also farming some fruits and vegetables by their own hand to self-supporting. Nevertheless, original green land has already covered by the tall buildings. How to find available space to afforest in the crowded cities which become parts of issue modern man must think about. The study through green appliance design and the statistical analysis of questionnaires to provide different forms of practical greening proposal. Let everyone owns multiple greening options to choose. There are two main study directions below. 1.Through related roof cases of roof greening and green artifacts to discuss, and become the greening appliance study’s orientation, also plan a set of practical greening proposal. 2.Targeting houses’ roof, balcony and pedestrian arcade which are unoccupied spaces, then use the way of questionaires to research and survey. To understand people’s preference and settle factors of roof greening, the greening appliance from this study will include in survey also design a set of appliance which suit for all people. In greening questionaire samples, we discovered that in the 6 types of extensive green roof, container-type green roof, intensive green roof, technic green structure, vertical wall system and the green structure for this study, the most popular is the green roof for the study. Second one is technic green structure that both are the preferable choices for urban man. These two greening ways differ from original green roof need to depend on professionals to arrange. Instead, simple greening structure design make people can install it more easier in limited space. It also owns the features of creative and convenient that can progress with simple watering, maintenance and management. The design is conforms to the populace’s preferable and requirement.
