Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 應用外語系 === 104 === This paper is aimed to explore the impact of civil aviation pilots’ personality and competency on their organizational commitment. Data were collected from 142 civil aviation pilots who currently work in the airline companies in Taiwan. The survey included three questionnaires: Big Five Personality Inventory, Competency and Organizational Commitment. Descriptive, correlation and regression analyses were conducted on the collected data. Results show that only agreeableness significantly predicted commitment. Both agreeableness and conscientiousness predicted competency. Regarding commitment, only attitude and social skills were significant predictors. This result indicated that professional knowledge and skills were irrelevant to commitment, and this can be a reference for the future cadet pilot recruitment of airline companies.
