Therefore this study aims to not only provide a better understanding about the relationships among personality traits, interpersonal relationship, loneliness, and Facebook addiction but help evoke undergraduate student’s awareness of the problems of Facebook addiction. In order to scrutinize the relationships among research dimensions, each dimension were respectively examined by one different kind of scale as follows: Big Five Mini-Markers developed by Saucier, Teenager Facebook Addiction Scale modified from Heish, Interpersonal Relationships Scale developed by Shiue and UCLA Loneliness Scale developed by Russell, Peplau and Cutrona. Among all retrieved questionnaires, 456 (86%) were valid and 77 (14%) were invalid. The data was analyzed by Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) and AMOS with descriptive statistics, t-test, reliability and validity analysis, correlation and regression analysis and finally examined by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results indicated that personality traits can be considered significant predictors toward Facebook addiction. Among personality traits, neuroticism demonstrated significantly positive association with Facebook addiction, whereas conscientiousness showed highly negative association with it. In the analysis between Facebook addiction and interpersonal relationship, Facebook addiction showed significant predictive power with interpersonal relationship. Finally, the analysis demonstrated that interpersonal relationship was a significant factor that influences one’s feeling of loneliness. LAI, CHIH-CHAO 賴志超 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 101 en_US
