It was found that the grain size and percentage of recrystallization in hot-rolled bands had close relation to aluminum content in steel after hot band annealing. Furthermore, both grain sizes of hot band and cold rolled annealing sheets decreased with increasing aluminum in steel. Moreover, the intensity of (110)<001> texture decreased with increasing aluminum in steel. The flux density also decreased with increasing aluminum in steel. It reached a low value and level off at 1.3wt% aluminum. On the other hand, core loss increased with increasing aluminum in steel and reached a high value and level off at 1.3wt% aluminum. During hot band annealing at 900℃, the core loss in steel with aluminum less than 0.88wt% was lower than that hot band annealing at1000℃. However, while cold rolled annealing at 900℃, steel with aluminum higher than 1.3wt% had lower core loss by 1000℃ hot band annealing.
