Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 104 === The care burden of the chronic mental disorder is now passed from the medical professional on hospitalize care and patient's family to the rehabilitation institutions after the psychiatric treatment models put emphasize on deinstitutionalization and community rehabilitation,full-time counselor is who provide halfway house work of the first line and they directly impact the quality of care and the result of resident’s rehabilitation.However, as their work’s special nature ,which will subjecting them to a considerable degree of job stress , halfway house in order to ensure the consistency of the service qualities provided by institutions, the staff’s job stability is very important. This research’s main goal is to figure out the correlation within full-time counselor to their condition of job stress, coping strategies and turnover intention. And then, analyze the relationship between personal characteristics and stress, coping strategies, and turnover intention. This study use cross-sectional study and sampling by stratified proportional sampling, Full-time counselor from northern, central and southern Taiwan were surveyed by a total of 166 questionnaires, the effected response rate is 73.5%. Analysis found that job stress and its turnover intention of the halfway house full-time counselor presented a positive relationship, which means the greater the tendency to leave their work the higher their work-pressure is; and coping strategies are a negatively relationship with their job stress, which means their coping strategies usage will be lower when they have the greater stress of work because the lack of their problem solving ability and their professional knowledge.The study verifies the work pressure have predictive power on turnover tends, but personal coping strategies does not regulate job stress and turnover intention. Moreover, the job stress facets of halfway house full-time counselor are scheduling mode, vacations, significant differences in salaries and other background variables; the significant differences in coping strategies facets is only base on sex background variables; Turnover facet has significant differences in scheduling mode and level of education background variables. This study demonstrated that job stressors can affect turnover intention of halfway house full-time counselor.The agency managers should not neglect this issue,they should create a friendly and safe working environment,encouraging full-time counselor can strengthen their positive attitude to face the challenges of the stress , take the appropriate response , reducing work stress caused by physical and mental fatigue,When it’s necessary,assist full-time counselor take the related cognitive behavioral change training courses,practical exercises related events simulation process to enhance independent judgment problem-solving ability .
