It can enhance life experiences as well as provide meanings to everyday life. One can share their hope searching experience to encourage others in having a better outlook of their illnesses. Objective: This study utilized a phenomenological approach to explore the hopeful experiences of post-operative adolescents bone cancer patients through figure drawings. The patient's overall descriptive hopeful experience was explored using the Snyder's theoretical concept of hope. Method: Phenomenology research method was applied in this study. Data was collected by participants drawings and tape-recorded interviews. The data was analyzed by the procedure of Colaizzi phenomenological methodology. The rigor of this study was further examined using Lincoln and Guba (1985) principles. Results: The participants of this study consisted of 10 adolescent with bone cancer who having been received orthopedic surgery. Four major themes were found which including the inspiration of meaningful goals, the development of disease coping strategies; the power of caring and encouragement; and faith and positive momentum. Conclusion: The study findings may provide evidence-based information for nurses in caring for adolescent bone cancer patients during their disease treatment.
