Discussions on Key Factors for Participation Motives in Recreational Sports - Example on Miaoli Primary School Female Teachers

碩士 === 育達科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 104 === 1. Huge pressure for teachers nowadays has affected their health. Recreational sports are one of the most convenient ways to lower pressure. Across the country, Miaoli County ranks among the top ones which suffer from insufficient physical sports. Percentage for Miaoli County primary school teachers with unsatisfactory physical/mental health also reaches as high as 80 percent, among which primary school female teachers account for more than 50 percent. As such, this article explores influential factors on Miaoli County female teachers’ participation in recreational sports in an effort to find solutions to increase female teachers’ motives for recreational sports. 2. This research adopts questionnaire survey and utilizes Miaoli County primary school female teachers as its research targets. With focus on influential factors for female teachers’ participation motives in recreational sports, research and discussion are conducted from three perspectives of individual, society and convenient status and AHP data are utilized to match and analyze consistency as well as establishment of weights system. 3. Results of this research indicate that, with respect to major guidelines on key factors for female teachers’ participation motives in recreational sports, “individual” is the most emphasized one, while “enhancement of health” is the most emphasized one during discussions of single factors and basic analysis of personal guidelines. For basic analysis on social guidelines, “companion” is the most emphasized one while “safe and healthy environment” becomes the most emphasized one during basic analysis over convenient status. Among overall 9 sub-guidelines, weights from number 1 to number 3 are in the sequence of “enhancement of health,” “relaxed mood” and “safe and healthy environment.” Therefore, this research lists these three assessment guidelines as “highly emphasized” factors among key factors for female teachers’ participation in recreational sports. 4. This research hopes to provide research result to female teachers of respective schools and related competent authorities for their references in encouraging female teacher to participate in recreational sports.
