碩士 === 吳鳳科技大學 === 消防研究所 === 104 === Taiwan is moving toward an aging society, so that the long-term care for the senior citizens has becoming a serious problem. On October 23, 2012 around 3 a.m., a fire accident occurred in the Sinyin Beimain Hospital causing 13 deaths and 59 injuries. It also depicted the fact that during such a fire, the senior citizens have very limited capability to egress safely. In this research, a long-term daycare center has been selected as the subject, where the self-defense fire organization has been studied and analyzed. During this process, Route B egress analysis has been implemented, so that the fire scenarios, occupant evacuation and egress, fire-fighting intervention, has been analyzed systematically. The simulation result yields an important database for improving the whole fire-fighting system in response to such a fire, especially for long-term daycare systems and can be applied widely to increase the safety margin and saving lives.
