Summary: | 碩士 === 萬能科技大學 === 資訊管理研究所在職專班 === 104 === Recently, Information Technology has brought about vast changes in educational administration and teaching. In line with this, the information literacy of preschool educators needed to improve. Investigating the relationship between current educators’ information literacy and school effectiveness is important. We analyzed the discrepancy between information literacy and school effectiveness under different background variables, investigated the variables then realized how it influence the experiment and examined every hypothesis. Simultaneously, we gathered the suggesstions about how to improve the information literacy from educators.
Choosing preschool educators in Xinzhuang District as research objects, we designed the questionaire “the relationship between preschool educators’ information literacy and school effectiveness” and adopted it as our research tool. We sent out 513 questionaires in total and took back 388 questionnaires, the overall questionnaires response rate is 75.6%. Then we used some statistical methods, such as “Descriptive Statistics”, “Independent T-test”, “Oneway Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)”, “Pearson Product-Moment Correlation” and “Multiple Regression Analysis”, to process and analyze our data. The results showed:
1. The current information literacy of the preschool educator is decent. Within these data, the “Ability of Web Searching” is excellent, but the “Ability of Utilizing Hardware and Software of Computer” is improvable.
2. The current effectiveness of preschool educator is decent. Within these data, the “Chlidren’s Learning and Performance” is excellent, but the “Quality of Teaching” is improvable.
3. The information literacy of preschool educators differs according to the variables of “Age”, “Education Level”, “Teachers’ Seniority”, “Adjunct Administrator”, “Attribute of School”, and “Work Regions”.
4. The school effectiveness of preschool educators differs according to “Size of School” and “Attribute of School”.
5. The preschool educators’ information literacy and school effectiveness has a positive correlation.
6. The information literacy of preschool educators is a significant indicator which can be utilized to predict a school’s overall effectiveness.
Based on the results, the researchers provided some advice and offered some suggestions for improving educators’ information literacy and school effectiveness.
