Description
Summary:碩士 === 萬能科技大學 === 材料科技研究所 === 104 === This study we used two epoxy resins, NF130A (DGEBA type) and NF130-1A (Novolac type), blending with hardener (PN-FJ) to prepare NF130A/ PN-FJ and NF130-1A/ PN-FJ and to study their thermal and physical properties. The chemical structures of epoxy, and hardener were characterized by FTIR. The reaction of epoxy and hardener was proved. The thermal properties of NF130A/PN-FJ and NF130-1A/PN-FJ were characterized by TGA and DSC. The cured temperature was 90, 110, 130, 150 ℃, and the cured period was 1, 3, and 5 hr, respectively. For NF130-1A/PN-FJ- 30 wt%-130℃-3hr, the 5% weight loss temperature (T5) was 395.4 ℃ and the glass transition temperature (Tg) was 146.8 ℃. For NF130A/ PN-FJ- 30 wt%-130℃-3hr, the T5 was 393.4℃ and the Tg temperature was144.8℃. Then, the thermal mechanical properties of Epoxy/hardener were determined by DMA. The cured temperature was 90, 110, 130, and 150 ℃ and the cured period was 3 hr. For NF130-1A/PN-FJ, when cured at 90 ℃ for 3 hr, the Tg from the peak of tanδ was 149.1℃, when cured at 150 ℃ for 3 hr, the Tg temperature was 175.6 ℃. For NF130A/PN-FJ, when cured at 90 ℃ for 3 hr, the Tg was 153.3℃, when cured at 150 ℃ for 3 hr, the Tg temperature was 176.1 ℃. The physical properties of Epoxy/hardener were measured with electrical densitometer and pencil hardness. The hardness of different composition for epoxy/hardener was tested with pencil hardness. When the content of hardener (DDM) in the epoxy was 50 wt%, the hardness is 5H for both NF130-1A/PN-FJ and NF130A/PN-FJ. The hardness of epoxy/hardener blend increased with the increase of hardener content in the blend. Densitometer results showed the specific gravity for NF130-1A/PN-FJ 30 wt% cured at 150 ℃ was 1.2026.
