Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 運動教育研究所 === 103 === This study aimed to explore cerebral palsy athletes' motivation to continue participating in boccia and the effects after participation. Based on a multiple-case design, the research data consisted of semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document collections. The data underwent theme analysis and narrative analysis. Findings presented the motivation and effects of sustained participation through "the path of persistence" and "adaptation and change": 1. The motivations for the cerebral palsy athletes' sustained participation in boccia were individual motivation, team motivation, and interaction between significant others, thus indicating diversity and multiplicity; 2. After he cerebral palsy athletes participated in boccia, adaptation and change were observed in four dimensions, including sports skills, physical function, motor function and posture, and personal growth and socialization.
