Abstract
This study aims to explore the current situation of teachers’ knowledge management and teachers’ professional learning communities at the elementary schools in new Taipei City, and simultaneously, analyze the influence of teachers’ perception with different background variables on teachers' knowledge management and teachers' professional learning communities. The researcher has analyzed the relationship between teachers' knowledge management and teachers' professional learning communities, and regarded it as a predictable variable.
For the purpose of study, a questionnaire was employed to survey 688 teachers from 67 elementary schools in New Taipei City. We got 637 valid samples and the data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment, and stepwise multiple-regression analysis. The conclusions are as following:
1.The current situation of teachers’ knowledge management and teachers’ professional learning communities at the elementary schools in New Taipei City is on good level.
2.The differences among teachers’ perceptional knowledge management are by gender and their current position at the elementary schools in New Taipei City.
3. The differences among teachers’ perception for teachers' professional learning communities are by age, years of service , current position and school size at the elementary schools in New Taipei City.
4. There are medium positive correlated relationship between the teachers’ knowledge management and teachers' professional learning communities at the elementary schools in new Taipei City.
5. Teachers' knowledge management has a positive forecast on teachers' professional learning communities at the elementary schools in new Taipei City.
Finally, according to the research conclusions, some suggestions are proposed for the educational administrative agencies, schools, teachers and future researchers.
