碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 體育學系 === 104 === The study based on the 2015 Ironman Taiwan 70.3 Triathlon is to examine the impact on local economic benefits. Method the innominate questionnaire was applied at the competition site during the game on November 1st 2015. This investigation sent out 500 copies of the questionnaire and took back 427. The response rate was 85%. By using Input Output Analysis (I-O Analysis) and Travel Cost Method (TCM), the findings are as follows. It is helpful to hosts and local government to determine holding contest. 1. During the triathlon event, the tangible economic benefits estimated by I-O Analysis was NT$ 75,324,933 on output effect, NT$ 27,388,458 on income effect, and 33 job opportunities on employment effect. 2. In individual industry perspective, “Arts, Entertainment and Recreation”, “Accommodation and Food” and “Transportation, Warehousing, information and communication” are significant on the increase of output, income and employment. It really stimulated local economy and gave a great contribution. 3. The intangible economic benefits of the Ironman event, estimated by TCM, was NT$ 177,493,056. It revealed that the subjective feelings of respondents got recreational benefit more than tangible economic benefits evaluated by I-O Analysis.
