An action research is adopted, and the local mangrove forests are involved in this research. This study investigates on the third-grade students and how teachers integrate information technology into the local education in Puhe Elememtary School. An action research is adopted, and the local mangrove forests are involved in this research. Observation method includes videos, photographs, student interviews, peer feedback from teachers, views of parents, instructor’s teaching reflection, and so on. Different aspects of teaching are therefore being analyzed and recorded. Student performances, response, and interaction with teachers in class are focused. This study also discusses the effect on student learning and the process of course implementation, which would help to reflect on the course design and find possible difficulties to resolve. Seven conclusions can be made in this study: 1. The instructor should be familiar with Geo-spatial Technology software. 2. Different teaching strategies of Heritage and Culture Education should be used to avoid students’ distraction. 3. Collaboration with peers colleague would help improve classroom order. 4. Role-play in the course gave students chances to deepen the learning impression 5. Students are able to know more about the cultures of their hometown with electronic teaching material of homeland. 6. The integrating teaching elevates more learning motivation than the traditional one-way teaching does. 7. Students can share the content of local curriculum with parents, facilitating parent-child interaction. Finally, the findings can be the significant references for schools, teachers and future studies.
